Donor Spotlight: Peter Urbanczyk

Hudson is not just coach training, but also personal development. I would like the Hudson lessons to touch more people, and this scholarship program is one step in that direction.
Peter Urbanczyk shares about how his personal growth has been shaped by Hudson:
I was fairly certain that I wanted to pursue a second career as a coach after 35 years in Finance, and yet, it was a pretty dramatic change of course, and I really did not know what it would entail. And then I walked into Life Forward in May 2019. I had done no prep work and only read the agenda the morning before it started. And those 3 1/2 days, the people I met, and the challenge to think deeply about what matters... was a transformative experience. It really hit me that after being a Father and provider for so long, that I was at a point in my life where I could do what I wanted, and frankly, that was a new perspective. And I looked at my facilitators, and thought "I want to be like them", lifelong learners, curious about themselves and others, doing work with a purpose, and having fun!
I never really looked back, I did my Coach certification, sold my house and adjusted my lifestyle, and launched my own leadership/executive coaching business in 2020. I love my new life and am so much less stressed. I love working with clients, I have intensified my "practice" of self as coach "work" and try incorporate coaching / self awareness into my daily life. The Hudson experience and community have literally changed my life.

Peter Urbanczyk shares about the drive behind his donation to the Frederic Hudson Scholarship Program:

Peter Urbanczyk speaks to the opportunities that have been unlocked for him since graduating from Hudson's Coach Certification Program:
... the earlier people embrace the path of self-awareness and personal development, the better for them, for organizations, and for our society.
I launched my own coaching practice. I coach aspiring CEOs, middle managers, and also intentionally coach some younger people. I do the latter for several reasons, but feel strongly that the earlier people embrace the path of self-awareness and personal development, the better for them, for organizations, and for our society. And I believe leadership of our institutions can greatly benefit from more "Hudson thinking" and the Millennial + Gen Z generations are our future leaders.
The Frederic Hudson Scholarship Program thanks Peter Urbanczyk for being part of the Hudson community and for helping us in our mission to broaden access to adult learning.
