Donor Spotlight: Penny Handscomb

Penny Handscomb shares about how her personal growth has been shaped by Hudson:

The Hudson Coaching Program has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth over the past several years. Through their insightful coaching techniques, I have gained deeper self-awareness and learned how to access different parts of myself - my heart, gut, and head - to become a more balanced and effective leader.

Coaching has taught me to be more internally referenced rather than seeking external validation, allowing me to build confidence from within.

Coaching has taught me to be more internally referenced rather than seeking external validation, allowing me to build confidence from within. I have a greater understanding of how my habitual thinking patterns and assumptions can limit me, and I've developed skills to counteract those tendencies with more curiosity, compassion, and open-mindedness.

My blind spots around how others experience me have been illuminated through coaching conversations that encourage raw honesty. This has enabled me to have more authentic dialogues with all personality types and become the leader I aspire to be.

The journey never ends, but Hudson's coaching methodology has equipped me with the tools for lifelong self-improvement.

The journey never ends, but Hudson's coaching methodology has equipped me with the tools for lifelong self-improvement. I'm able to lean into relationships in a healthier way, let go of judgments more, and align my intentions with my actions.

I'm profoundly grateful for the Hudson Coaching Program's transformative impact. Their commitment to raising self-awareness has empowered me to be a better human, friend, and contributor to the world.

The Frederic Hudson Scholarship Program thanks Penny Handscomb for being part of the Hudson community and for helping us in our mission to broaden access to adult learning.
